About Us

Graphene Leaders Canada (GLC) Inc. is a private Alberta technology company producing high quality, high purity and large flake graphene nanomaterials which function as a platform technology due to the ability to add value across numerous applications. GLC will work with industry to develop solutions by integrating the graphene to develop new innovative and first-to-market solutions, thereby offering a competitive advantage. GLC is focused in the Environment and Coatings markets.

GLC’s tag line is “Making Great Products Even Greater”.

Graphene is a disruptive technology offering outstanding properties to support an unlimited number of vertical development opportunities.  GLC has a competitive advantage with our liquid phase, green production process that can easily integrate into product development. GLC’s production of bulk nanomaterials includes Graphene Oxide (GO), Reduced Graphene Oxide (rGO) and Pristine Graphene (PG) which serve as a technology platform of products available in customizable solvents and in flake form.  Other products on our platform include a Lubricity Coating, Aerogels, Hydrogels and Fiber Filtration products which can serve to support many industries to new product development.

GLC has completed extensive characterization of nanomaterials through National Institute for Nanotechnology (NINT) and National Research Council for Canada (NRC) where results confirm high quality, high purity and large flake nanomaterials.

NRC has invited GLC to be involved in a collaboration of the National Standardization of Graphene Nanomaterials for Canada. GLC as well has been invited by the Standards Council of Canada (SCC) and Canadian Standards Association (CSA) to be a member of International SMC Nano –ISO TC 229 and IEC TC 113.  This committee’s objectives of ISO/TC229 are as follows:

    • Support sustainable and responsible development of nanotechnologies
    • Facilitate global trade in nanotechnology-enabled products and systems
    • Improve the quality, safety, security, and consumer and environmental protection of nanotechnologies, along with the rational use of natural resources
    • Promote good practice in the production, use and disposal of nanomaterials and nano-enabled products

These invitations recognize GLC for high quality materials and offers a strong competitive advantage for GLC over other producers and brings GLC onto a global market in the global graphene race.
