Graphene Leaders Canada (GLC) Inc. Executes and Agreement to Establish a Joint Venture to Advance Graphene-Enhanced Coating Technology
Edmonton, Alberta – September 19, 2025 — Graphene Leaders Canada (GLC) Inc. is pleased to announce the signing of a Joint Venture Principles Agreement with a private Alberta-based industrial partner, establishing the foundation for a collaborative initiative focused on developing and commercializing graphene-enhanced corrosion-resistant coating technologies.
The joint initiative is centered on engineering high-performance graphene dispersion additives designed for use in extremely harsh industrial environments characterized by high temperatures. These coating formulations are being developed by GLC’s expert technical team and are undergoing independent evaluation at the University of Alberta under the guidance of Dr. Jing Liu, PhD, P.Eng., Associate Professor in the Department of Chemical and Materials Engineering. Dr. Liu is widely recognized in Canada for her expertise in corrosion science and electrochemistry, and her oversight supports rigorous validation of the additive’s performance.
This work is supported through the Emissions Reduction Alberta (ERA) Lab Services Incentive Program (LSIP), enabling comprehensive materials testing under simulated industrial operating conditions.

Upon successful completion of the testing program, in early 2026, the Joint Venture will be finalized and is expected to proceed into pilot coating production, industrial field testing, and subsequent
commercialization planning.
